Despite Andrew Walters’ 10 Strike Outs, Eastern Florida Titans Shut Out by Polk State 3-0

MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost a pitcher’s duel at Polk State College Saturday afternoon.

Freshman starting pitcher Andrew Walters struck out a season-high 10 hitters in six innings, allowing four hits and one unearned run.

The Titans, who are now 7-7 on the season, managed just two hits against three Polk State College pitchers as starter Andrew Long picked up the win, striking out nine in five shutout innings.

Eastern Florida State College will host Daytona State College Monday at 4 p.m. and admission is free at Bruce Bochy Field.
