Eastern Florida Baseball Loses A Close One on the Road to Lake Sumter State 5-4

BREVARD COUNTY •  MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College baseball team lost 5-4 to Lake Sumter State College on the road Friday.

The Titans led 4-2 after six innings but Lake Sumter tied it up in the seventh and won with a run in the bottom of the ninth inning.

The baseball team got things going early, scoring three times in the first inning. Kyle Dentmon had an RBI single, Tyler Isenberg had an RBI double and Cory Leech walked with the bases loaded.

Darien Smith took the loss in relief.

Eastern Florida State College will be back in action Saturday afternoon against the College of Central Florida at 1 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field.
