Eastern Florida’s Jackson Woodward, Jacquelyn Levay Named Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College baseball pitcher Jackson Woodward and women’s basketball player Jacquelyn Levay were named Orlando Health Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Feb. 23.

Woodward allowed just two hits and an unearned run in eight innings against Miami Dade College. The freshman from Titusville struck out six and walked one in the no-decision.

For the season Woodward has struck out 31 in 24 2/3 innings and has not allowed an earned run in six appearances.

Levay helped the women’s basketball team to two wins this week averaging 12.5 points, nine rebounds and two assists a game. The sophomore guard from Tampa is averaging 12 points per game this season for the 23-6 Titans.

Woodward is scheduled to take the mound Wednesday night against Indian River State College in a Southern Conference game at 6 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field.

Levay and the women’s basketball team will play in the FCSAA State Tournament March 5 against host Northwest Florida State College.
