BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE,  FLORIDA – Employee volunteers from Boeing’s Florida Space Coast Operations commemorated Engineers Week by walking 150 Quest Elementary 6th graders through the FUTURE U “Engineer an Exoskeleton” design challenge – a hands-on exercise that shows students the skills and creativity needed to become an engineer.

Boeing engineers from across the company were an integral part of creating the design challenges, which focused on space exploration, aircraft design, satellites and more.

FUTURE U activities, which are available online at BoeingFUTUREU.com, include downloadable STEM activities, Boeing-inspired design challenge kits and other digital resources.

Boeing volunteers also worked with students at Madison Middle, Titusville High and Sea Park Elementary, interacting with some 315 BPS students over the course of this week.
