BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – When Christina and Jordan were seeking a pediatrician for their firstborn, they didn’t have to look far. After all, Dr. Christine Witte had cared for Jordan and his four siblings as kids.

“I wouldn’t change her for anything,” Christina said. “I would want her for all my kids.”

Dr. Witte is now the go-to pediatrician for Christina and Jordan’s five children – Landon, Aidyn, Briar, Koltyn and Shyla. And she’s about to get a sixth patient from the family. Christina is expecting the couple’s sixth child.

“It’s a privilege,” Dr. Witte said of caring for the couple’s children. “It’s an honor. I’m very proud they chose me.”

The family recently visited with Dr. Witte, Dr. Sheila McLeod and staff during an open house unveiling the new colorful sea life artwork at their Health First Medical Group Seaside practice in Indialantic.

With seven patient rooms and a kid-focused feel, the new location is designed to appeal to pediatric patients.

The artwork is an added bonus. What really draws the family in is the compassionate care. When their second child was born with a heart condition, Dr. Witte pointed Christina toward the resources she needed.

“She also gave me her personal number if anything came up, if I had an issue,” Christina said. “One time I called her, and I think she was at Sea World, and she took care of it while she was there, to make sure we had what we needed.”

It’s the kind of thing that any parent appreciates. Having multiple generations of patients is something that Dr. Witte cherishes. Two of Jordan’s siblings also take their children to Dr. Witte.

“I feel like I know Christina just about as much as Jordan,” she said. “She’s like one of my kids.”
