BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Congratulations to Jackson Middle School seventh-grader Alexandra Fernandez for being named Keep Brevard Beautiful’s 2020 Youth Environmental Art Contest winner.

This talented young lady encapsulated the organization’s mission and the theme “Be Drastic, Cut Plastic” in her artwork which depicts a manatee swimming through plastic trash.

The contest was open to all Brevard County 7-12 graders.

Each year, KBB hosts the “Trash Bash,” a county-wide cleanup event that brings together hundreds of volunteers to remove thousands of pounds of trash.

Alex’s art will be featured on all Trash Bash t-shirts and promotional mailings, as well as in KBB’s e-newsletter and social media. In addition, she won a cash prize and some KBB t-shirts.
