An apartment on the 1100 block of Jordan Road was heavily damaged by fire on Monday, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue. BCFR says there were no injuries associated with the fire. Crews first responded to a report of the blaze at 9:43 a.m. The cause of the fire came from combustibles that were too close to an in-wall heating unit.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – A unit on the second floor of an apartment complex on the 1100 block of Jordan Road in Merritt Island was heavily damaged by fire on Monday, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue.

BCFR says there were no injuries associated with the fire.

Crews first responded to a report of the blaze at 9:43 a.m.

The cause of the fire came from combustibles that were too close to an in-wall heating unit, BCFR added.
