No Injuries Following ‘Anomaly’ with Engine Test Fire at Rocket Crafters in Cocoa on Thursday

The anomaly occurred just after noon Thursday, according to Rocket Crafters

No one was injured after an engine test fire “anomaly” at Rocket Crafters at 770 Cidco Road in Cocoa on Thursday.

BREVARD COUNTY * COCOA, FLORIDA – An “anomaly” during a scheduled engine test fire at Rocket Crafters, located on the 700 block of Cidco Road, prompted a response by the Cocoa Police and Fire Departments on Thursday, according to a post from the company on social media.

First responders took care of small brush fires that started as a result of the incident, according to Cocoa Police Department spokesperson Yvonne Martinez.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, which took place just after noon on Thursday.

The company added in a post on social media: “We thank the City of Cocoa, The Cocoa Fire Department, and the Cocoa Police Department for their quick response time and commitment to safety.”
