Phyllis Mae passed away at home at the Fountains in Melbourne, Florida
BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Phyllis Mae Olmstead, age 103, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020, at home at the Fountains in Melbourne, Florida.
Born in Irving, NY on July 20, 1916, she was the daughter of Caroline and Leroy Harrington.
She graduated from Geneseo State University and was a school librarian in Madison, NY for many years.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn. They shared 68 years of marriage together, raising a family in Morrisville, NY and later retiring to Sebastian, Florida.
Phyllis is survived by Susan Olmstead and her husband Tony Dudes of Charlton, NY, Dennis Olmstead and wife Maureen Harrahill of Portland, OR and Dick Olmstead and wife Shelia of Seattle, WA.
Following cremation, Phyllis will be interred with Glenn at Fountainhead Memorial Park in Palm Bay, Florida.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the charity of your choice.
