Orlando Health Stadium Hosting Three Friendly Matches For Minnesota United FC This Week

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Orlando Health Stadium on the Melbourne campus of Eastern Florida State College has been hosting Minnesota United FC of Major League Soccer this week as they prepare for their fourth season in the MLS.

Minnesota United, who finished fourth in the Western Conference standings last season, will be playing three friendly matches at Orlando Health Stadium beginning Saturday at 2 p.m. against Florida International University.

Then on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. the Loons will play Charleston Battery and wrap up their Florida trip on Saturday Feb. 8 by hosting Miami FC at 11 a.m. before returning to Minnesota.

It is the third season that head coach Adrian Heath and his Minnesota team has come to Melbourne for preseason camp, second with Minnesota. Heath was the head coach of Orlando City’s USL team from 2011 to 2014 and then Orlando City’s MLS team from 2015 to 2016.

Fans can come watch the three friendly matches at Orlando Health Stadium and admission is free.

The MLS season will begin Feb. 29 with Minnesota United beginning on March 1.
