WINGATE, N.C. Florida Tech baseball concluded its road trip on Saturday against Wingate. The Panthers were able to keep the game within reach against the bulldogs through five innings but ultimately were not able to earn the win as they fell 10-2. 

Tech recorded two runs, four hits, and seven walks in the game. However, Tech committed two errors and left eight runners on base against the Bulldogs.

Raul Quintero was the only Panther who collected two hits during the game adding to his three-game hitting streak. The senior also had a walk and a run scored.

Blaise Maris and Brendan Riley collected a hit apiece. Maris recorded an RBI, while Riley had a walk and a stolen base.

Joey Hecht started the game for the Panthers pitching five innings and recording four strikeouts. Head Coach Greg Berkemeier used Alex CarpenterSam CrockerAndres Rodriguez, and Jake Lane.

Next

The Crimson and Gray will head home to host Flagler College on Tuesday, February 11 at Andy Seminick-Les Hall Field. The Panthers first pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
