The City of Palm Bay Utilities Department anticipates a Precautionary Boil Water Notice on Wednesday for customers in living the Oakwood Villas, located in northeast Palm Bay.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The City of Palm Bay Utilities Department anticipates a Precautionary Boil Water Notice on Wednesday for customers in living the Oakwood Villas, located in northeast Palm Bay.

Repairs being done in the area will require water service to be shut down temporarily.

The shutdown will impact 281 Palm Bay Utilities customers, according to Palm Bay city officials.

The Precautionary Boil Water Notice will impact residents in the Oakwood Villas community at the following addresses:

* 1401 Sheafe Ave NE Units 1-10
* 1411 Sheafe Ave NE Units 1-10
* 1421 Sheafe Ave NE Units 1-10
* 1430 Sheafe Ave NE Unit 1
* 1431 Sheafe Ave NE Units 1-10
* 1440 Sheafe Ave NE Units 1-12
* 1441 Sheafe Ave NE Units 1-10
* 1450 Sheafe Ave NE Units 1-10
* 1451 Sheafe Ave NE Units 1-10
* 1460 Sheafe Ave NE Units 1-12

Impacted residents are advised to take precautionary measures to ensure water quality.

The Palm Bay Utilities Department recommends that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. Bottled water may be used as an alternative.

This Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the maintenance work is complete and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.

Affected customers will be notified immediately once the boil water notices has been lifted.
