Suspect in Death of 36-Year-Old Titusville Woman Turns Herself In

Courtney Dawn Gibson, 27, turned herself in to police in Tennessee

BREVARD COUNTY * TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A 27-year-old has turned herself in reference to the disappearance and death of a 36-year-old Titusville woman.
According to a release from the Titusville Police Department, Courtney Dawn Lawson turned herself into authorities in Lebanon, TN, the site where the body of 36-year-old Anna Primavere was found.
Primavere had been missing since Feb. 21.
Police say they believe that Primavere was killed in a “violent manner” in her home between 7 p.m. and midnight on Feb. 21.
“Sadly, for everyone this has ended in the worst-case scenario,” said TPD Lieutenant Chris Deloach in the release.
Gibson was a babysitter hired by a landlord of a on the 4000 block of Trinidad, where Primavere was living.
Police say the suspect was captured on a Ring doorbell video on Saturday morning driving away from the area with a mattress on the roof of her red Kia Forte.
Soon after, the mattress fell off the car and the suspect is alleged to have subsequently burned it on the side of the road.
A mattress was missing when police searched Primavere’s residence after she was reported missing.
Police also add that the suspect was not cooperative when approached by authorities in Tennessee and refused to let them search her vehicle.
However, a search warrant was obtained by police that enabled them to search Lawson’s vehicle on Thursday.
