Titusville Police K9 Draco Tracks Down Armed Carjacking Suspect Brian Demond Farmer

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Brian Demond Farmer, 35, of Titusville, was arrested and charged with Robbery with a Firearm, Carjacking, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Discharge of a Firearm in Public after Titusville police officers responded to a report of shots fired near the 1500 block of Elizabeth Avenue at approximately 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to Titusville Police Public Information Officer Amy Matthews, the preliminary investigation revealed that Farmer battered the victim, threatened him with a firearm, fired a gunshot into the air and drove off in the victim’s 2006 Nissan Altima.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

Police officers immediately secured the scene and set up an area perimeter and within minutes, Farmer was located in the stolen vehicle and police initiated a traffic stop.

“The suspect fled the stolen vehicle on foot,” said Matthews. “K9 Draco and officers tracked and located the suspect. The suspect was identified and taken into custody.”

Farmer was booked into the Brevard County Jail without bond.
