It’s going to be a top-level event as always, but the question on everyone’s lips right now – who will be the last team standing at the close of the tournament?

We’ve got some pretty good ideas for who is in with a good shot at the title, as we have identified below.

Potential Winners

1. France

Following on from their triumph at the 2018 World Cup, it’s hard to look for a team that has a better chance than France. They are a team that is brimming with confidence, and with young superstars like Mbappe in the squad, we really feel that they have what it takes to bring home another major title.

As with any sports, however, football can lead to some very interesting things happening on the field. They will have to perform just as well as they did in the World Cup to bring home the trophy, and there is some stiff competition.

2. Belgium

Belgium is a team that has been much improved as the years have gone on. They never used to be such a formidable team as they are today, but Belgium undoubtedly has a chance at lifting the trophy this year. They got an extremely talented team, with players like Lukaku, Hazard, and De Bruyne in the starting line up.

They’ve demonstrated that they can perform on the big stage too, as seen when they knocked out Brazil in the 2018 World Cup. We feel that with the right training and the right build-up to the event, they are more than capable of replicating this form and taking Europe by storm this summer.

3. England

We can’t quite believe that we’re saying this, but yes, England now has a realistic shot at taking home a major trophy. English football fans have suffered for many years with constant let downs on the international stage, regardless of how strong their team has been.

They’ve had great players pass through the squad over the last decade, with players like Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard, and many more all representing the country.

However, the problem has always been that these big players could never quite perform well enough together. This seems to be changing recently, and Gareth Southgate almost has an aura of magic about him with the England team.

As we all know, England also managed to make the semi-final of the World Cup, before losing after holding a 1-0 lead against Croatia.

We think we speak for all football fans right now when we say, roll on summertime!
