One Florida resident has died who tested positive for COVID-19 in Palm Beach County

As of Sunday morning, Brevard County has five reported cases of COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Health, which announced almost 70 new coronavirus cases since Saturday. BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – As of Sunday morning, Brevard County has five reported cases of COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Health, which announced almost 70 new coronavirus cases since Saturday.

One person has died who tested positive for COVID-19 in Palm Beach County.

The Florida Department of Health said that the total cases in Florida stand at 830, including four TSA agents who work at the Orlando International Airport and have tested positive for the COVID-19.

“If you follow the basic rules that the CDC has recommended, such as maintaining good hygiene, washing your hands, and maintaining proper social distance from people, you are going to be okay if you follow those guidelines,” said Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis during a COVID-19 press event.

The total of new Florida cases includes 67 additional positive COVID-19 cases (62 Florida residents and 5 non-Florida residents) reported to the Florida Department of Health.

There are currently 768 positive cases in Florida residents and 62 positive cases in non-Florida residents.

Florida recently partnered with private laboratories around the state to expand COVID-19 laboratory testing capacity.

This partnership will increase the number of tests conducted each day and ensure Floridians receive the critical health information they need in a timely manner.

Expansion to private laboratories changes the COVID-19 testing landscape in Florida.

Private laboratories are running tests as they receive swab samples from practitioners. Testing and reporting times vary among commercial and DOH laboratories.
