City of Palm Bay Enacts Legislative Order Declaring State of Local Emergency in Response to COVID-19

On Thursday, March 19, Mayor William Capote signed Legislative Order No. D-2020-01, declaring a State of Local Emergency in the City of Palm Bay in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The City of Palm Bay enacted a legislative order on Thursday declaring a State of Local Emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Beginning at 12 p.m on Friday, all City of Palm Bay facilities will be closed to the public for the health and safety of Palm Bay citizens and City personnel during the COVID-19 crisis.

The closure will extend through at least Wednesday, April 15, unless circumstances change.

While the City of Palm Bay facilities will be closed to the general public, essential municipal service operations will continue with limited staffing to comply with social distancing guidelines to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The public is encouraged to make use of online services on www.palmbayflorida.org or call in for assistance. Your patience and understanding are appreciated while staff continues to respond to inquiries and requests via telephone and e-mail.
