Eastern Florida State College Baseball Team Begins Three-Game Series with Palm Beach State College

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA –The Eastern Florida State College baseball team returns to Southern Conference action this week with a three-game series with Palm Beach State College beginning Wednesday evening.

The Titans are 3-3 in the conference while Palm Beach State College comes into the series 2-4.

Freshman Jackson Woodward will take the mound in Game 1 Wednesday at Bruce Bochy Field. The Titusville native is 2-1 with a 0.24 ERA in eight appearances this season which is second in Region VIII. As a pitching staff, the Titans are third with a team ERA of 2.83.

Alejandro Rodriguez leads the offense, hitting .350 this season and has had two or more hits in five of the past 10 games.

Palm Beach State College is led by EJ Doskow who is hitting .377 and has a hit in eight of the past 10 games and has two hits in each of the last three.

Game 2 of the series will be Friday at Palm Beach State College with Chase Victor taking the mound for the Titans. Victor is No. 9 in Region VIII with an 1.38 ERA.

The final game of the series will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field with Darien Smith getting the start. Smith is sixth in Region VIII averaging 12.72 Ks per nine innings this season.
