MELBOURNE POLICE: Dead Man Discovered at River Palm Hotel, Being Investigated as Homicide

POLICE: officers observed evidence consistent with a homicide, identity yet to be verified

Melbourne police officers responded to the River Palm Hotel, located at 420 S. Harbor City Boulevard, at approximately 11 a.m. per the request of staff members who located a person whom they believed was deceased.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne police officers responded to the River Palm Hotel, located at 420 S. Harbor City Boulevard, at approximately 11 a.m. per the request of staff members who located a person whom they believed was deceased.

According to Melbourne Police Lt. Shawn Eising, officers responded to the room and verified he was no longer alive.

“The officers observed evidence consistent with a homicide. Members of the Criminal Investigations Division is currently in the early stages of conducting interviews and analyzing evidence,” said Lt. Eising.

The decedent’s identity has yet to be verified.
