Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame member David Kilgore will run 100 miles on Friday to raise awareness and funds to benefit health care providers on the front-line fighting COVID-19.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Space Coast Sports Hall of Fame member David Kilgore will run 100 miles beginning early Friday morning to raise awareness and funds to benefit health care providers on the front-line fighting COVID-19.

Kilgore, with strong ties to New York City, is the representative for On- Running Footwear in the Big Apple and has received tremendous support from On.

Kilgore will begin his run at 4 a.m. in south Brevard County. He will run beachside, wind throughout the county, and finish near the wetlands in Viera.

He said he expects the 100-mile run to take 15-17 hours to complete. Kilgore will have friends join in the run, but because of the virus, they will all run remotely, which means they will run at their own pre-designated sites around the country.

Kilgore mentioned that he will have a lot of local support during the run. Brenden Clarke, Molly Metivier, and his mom Dorothy Fitzgerald will be among those in support on Friday.

Those wishing to support David Kilgore’s fundraising efforts can go to his Facebook page and look for the link to the GoFundMe account set up specifically for this event.
