Titusville Man Dies in Orange County Vehicle Collision, Five People Hospitalized

Florida Highway Patrol has identified the person killed in a Tuesday crash in Orange County as a 64-year-old man from Titusville.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol has identified the person killed in a Tuesday crash in Orange County as a 64-year-old man from Titusville.

The man’s name will be released, once the family has been properly notified.

State troopers say the Titusville man was killed Tuesday afternoon when he attempted to make a left turn while exiting an airboat ride attraction around 5 p.m. near Colonial Dr. and St. John’s River (St. Johns River Airboat Tours).

As he turned left in his Toyota vehicle with four passengers inside, a driver in a 2004 Jeep SUV crashed into the driver’s side door.

The impact killed the Titusville driver at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep was taken to a hospital, but is expected to recover.

At this time, the condition of the four passengers injured in the crash has not been released by FHP.
