SPACE COAST DAILY TV: Brevard County Government Assistant Manager Jim Liesenfelt addresses bus patrons during Space Coast Area Transit “Ride With Jim” series. Wednesday’s Ride with Jim provided the general public and community stakeholders an opportunity for an interactive conversation with those who help shape the UF/IFAS Brevard County Extension Services.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The latest Space Coast Area Transit’s “Ride With Jim” event was held on Wednesday morning and allowed residents to share coffee and conversation with the people who help shape the UF/IFAS Brevard County Extension Services.

The morning began as a Space Coast Area Transit bus picked up passengers at the Ag Center in Cocoa and then visited a Bagel 13 for a chat over coffee and a bagel with Assistant County Manager Jim Liesenfelt and UF/IFAS County Extension Director Beth Shephard.

“I like to think of it as an open house on wheels,” said Liesenfelt.

The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension in Brevard County is a partnership between UF/IFAS, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and Brevard County government, providing educational programs based on the latest research and technology.
