Woman Arrested After Battering Cocoa Beach Police Officers Responding to Screaming Woman Complaint

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Cocoa Beach Police have arrested a 44-year-old woman after she allegedly battered police officers at the Sandcastles Condominiums.

The suspect has been identified as Colleen Nguyen.

Police were called to the scene when officers received a call about a woman screaming inside one of the condominiums.

When officers arrived on the scene, police say Nguyen tried to close the door on them.

After talking to the woman into meeting them outside, Nguyen became combative and tried hitting the police officers.

During the incident, the woman bit one of the officers and kicked the other officer in the face.

Both officers were not seriously injured in the incident.

Nguyen was taken to the hospital where she admitted to taking an illegal controlled substance.

Police have revealed that Nguyen was cleaning the condominium for a cleaning service when the incident occurred.
