BREVARD COVID-19 EVENING UPDATE, APRIL 16: Space Coast Reports 192 Coronavirus Cases, Six Deaths

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County has reported 192 cases of COVID-19 as of Thursday evening, according to the Florida Department of Health.
According to the Florida Department of Health, the demographic breakdown of the age of those testing positive ranges from 1 to 94, with the median age being 52 years of age, and 50 percent are male and 50 percent are female.
The current Brevard list includes 185 Florida residents and seven non-residents.
COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 39. Six deaths have been reported as a result of COVID-19 in Brevard County, including three since Sunday.
The Florida Department of Health reports 4,282 tests have been administered in Brevard County. According to Thursday’s report, 4,085 of those tests have come back negative.
While Florida’s testing has increased, the percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 10.5-percent.
The Florida Department of Health has reported a total of 23,340 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state with 3,458 hospitalized.
Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 668 as of Thursday afternoon.
In the U.S., 629,264 cases have been reported and 26,708 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 2,138,763 with 142,735 global deaths.
