BREVARD COVID-19 UPDATE, APRIL 10: Space Coast Reports 115 Coronavirus Cases on Friday

As of Friday morning, Brevard County has 115 reported cases of COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Health.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – As of Friday morning, Brevard County has 115 reported cases of COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Health.

Among the 1 cases reported in Brevard County are 57 men and 54 women, including a 1-year-old boy and 94-year-old man.

The current Brevard list includes 105 Florida residents and six non-residents. COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 31. Two deaths have been reported as a result of COVID-19 in Brevard County.

FDOH reports 2,144 tests have been administered in Brevard County. According to the Friday morning report, 2,022 of those tests have come back negative.

Of the 162,993 people tested in Florida on Monday, 145,299 people have tested negative for COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Florida Department of Health has reported a total of 17,531 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state with 2,360 hospitalized.

Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 390 as of Monday evening.

While Florida’s testing has increased over the past week, the percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 11 percent. Of the 7,641 tests performed on April 5, there were 930 positive results, or 12 percent.

Eighteen people have died who tested positive for COVID-19 in Broward, Collier, Dade, DeSoto, Lee, Manatee, Orange, Palm Beach, Polk, St. Lucie, Sumter and Volusia counties.

New Florida cases include 666 additional positive COVID-19 cases (649 Florida residents and 17 non-Florida residents) reported to the Florida Department of Health. There are currently 15,883 positive cases in Florida residents and 481 positive cases in non-Florida residents.

In the U.S.,467,184 cases have been reported and 14,831 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 1,619,495 with 97,264 deaths.
