BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County has reported 235 cases of COVID-19 as of Thursday night, according to the Florida Department of Health.
According to the Florida Department of Health, the demographic breakdown of the age of those testing positive ranges from 1 to 94, with the median age being 52 years of age, and 50 percent are male and 50 percent are female.
The current Brevard list includes 227 Florida residents and eight non-residents.
Brevard COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 44. Eight deaths have been reported as a result of COVID-19 in Brevard County, including five since April 12.
The Florida Department of Health reports 6,316 tests have been administered in Brevard County. According to Tuesday’s report, 6,076 of those tests have come back negative.
The percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 9.9-percent.
The Florida Department of Health has reported a total of 29,648 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state with 4,640 hospitalized.
Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 987 as of Thursday night.
In the U.S.,873,137 cases have been reported and 49,759 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 2,708,590 with 190,490 global deaths.
