As of Monday evening, Brevard County has 92 reported cases of COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Health. That’s 4 more cases in the last 6-hours in Brevard County.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – As of Monday evening, Brevard County has 92 reported cases of COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Health. That’s 4 more cases in the last 6-hours in Brevard County.

Among the 88 cases reported in Brevard County are 51 men and 41 women, including a 1-year-old boy and 94-year-old man.

The current Brevard list includes 86 Florida residents and six non-residents. COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 26. No deaths as a result of COVID-19 has been reported in Brevard County.

According to the Florida Department of Health, the cases in Brevard geographically include 2 in Mims, 3 in Titusville, 6 in Merritt Island, 6 in Cocoa, 3 in Rockledge, 3 in Cocoa Beach, 5 in Satellite Beach, 2 in Indian Harbour Beach, 29 in Melbourne, 1 in West Melbourne, 15 in Palm Bay, and 1 in Malabar.

Of the 126,048 people tested in Florida on Monday, 111,022 people have tested negative for COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Florida Department of Health has reported a total of 13,629 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state with 1,719 hospitalized.

Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 254 as of Monday evening.

While Florida’s testing has increased over the past week, the percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 11 percent. Of the 7,641 tests performed on April 5, there were 930 positive results, or 12 percent.

Eighteen people have died who tested positive for COVID-19 in Broward, Collier, Dade, DeSoto, Lee, Manatee, Orange, Palm Beach, Polk, St. Lucie, Sumter and Volusia counties.

New Florida cases include 305 additional positive COVID-19 cases (289 Florida residents and 16 non-Florida residents) reported to the Florida Department of Health. There are currently 13,214 positive cases in Florida residents and 415 positive cases in non-Florida residents.

In the U.S., 367,004 cases have been reported and 10,871 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 1,346,299 with 74,679 deaths.
