COVID-19 RELATED DEATHS IN FLORIDA CURRENTLY 221; 9,633 IN U.S.; 69,419 GLOBALLY

As of Sunday evening, Brevard County has 79 reported cases of COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Health. That’s seven more cases in the last 24 hours in Brevard County. The current Brevard list includes 73 Florida residents and six non-residents. COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 21. No deaths as a result of COVID-19 has been reported in Brevard County.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – As of Sunday evening, Brevard County has 79 reported cases of COVID-19, according to the Florida Department of Health. That’s seven more cases in the last 24 hours in Brevard County.

Among the 79 cases reported in Brevard County are 43 men and 36 women, including a 1-year-old boy and 94-year-old man.

The current Brevard list includes 73 Florida residents and six non-residents. COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 21. No deaths as a result of COVID-19 has been reported in Brevard County.

According to the Florida Department of Health, the cases in Brevard geographically include 2 in Mims, 3 in Titusville, 6 in Merritt Island, 6 in Cocoa, 3 in Rockledge, 3 in Cocoa Beach, 5 in Satellite Beach, 2 in Indian Harbour Beach, 29 in Melbourne, 1 in West Melbourne, 15 in Palm Bay, and 1 in Malabar.

On Saturday, the Florida Department of Health reported a total of 12,350 confirmed cases in the state with 1,555 hospitalized.

Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 221 as of Sunday evening.

While Florida’s testing has increased over the past week, the percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 11 percent. Of the 13,208 tests performed on April 4, there were 1,429 positive results, or 11 percent.

New Florida cases include 199 additional positive COVID-19 cases (197 Florida residents and 2 non-Florida residents) reported to the Florida Department of Health. There are currently 11,961 positive cases in Florida residents and 389 positive cases in non-Florida residents.

In the U.S., 337,274 cases have been reported and 9,633 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 1,273,794 with 69,419 deaths.
