“We, now more than ever, have to put our differences aside, and say we are one team with one mission of protecting our community.”

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey discussed the effects of COVID-19 on Space Coast area businesses and encouraged everyone to support local merchants – and to stand shoulder-to-shoulder to protect our community.

“We, now more than ever, have to come together and help one another; we, now more than ever, have to rely on one another; and, we now more than ever, need to stand shoulder-to-shoulder and fight for each other,” said Sheriff Ivey.

“We, now more than ever, have to put our differences aside, and say we are one team with one mission of protecting our community. It takes a community to protect a community and right now there are many in our community who need our help.

While every day in response to Coronavirus we are told to practice social distancing by standing at least six feet apart, tonight I am asking you to stand together, shoulder-to-shoulder as a community and pay it forward. By working together, we will beat this!” said Sheriff Ivey.
