City of Rockledge Cancels Annual Independence Day Family Picnic Scheduled for July 4

The City of Rockledge announced Thursday, April 9, that the Annual Independence Day Family Picnic scheduled for July 4 has been canceled. This event will not be rescheduled this year.

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The City of Rockledge announced Thursday, April 9, that the Annual Independence Day Family Picnic scheduled for July 4 has been canceled.

“The City of Rockledge regrets to announce that, out of an abundance of caution relating to COVID-19, the Annual Independence Day Family Picnic has been canceled,” said The City of Rocklege in a release.

This event, originally scheduled for July 4, 2020, will not be rescheduled this year.

“The City of Rockledge looks forward to restoring the picnic event on July 4, 2021,” Rockledge city officials said.

Elected City of Rockledge officials include Mayor Tom Price, Seat 1 Councilman Mike Cadore, Seat 2 Councilman Shaun Ferguson, Seat 3 Councilwoman Sammie Brown Martin, Seat 4 Councilman and Deputy Mayor Frank Forester, Seat 5 Councilman Duane Daski and Seat 6 Councilman Ted Hartselle.

The City of Rockledge City Manager is Brenda Fettrow.

“Again, the City of Rockledge apologizes for any inconveniences this may cause, and we encourage interested participants to monitor the City of Rockledge website, or the City of Rockledge’s official Facebook page, for additional information and event updates,” said Rockledge city officials.
