POLICE: area is active construction site, currently hazardous to public at this time
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Police Department is reminding the public not to visit Cocoa Village by boat and not dock in the unfinished boat slips or fish from the sidewalks and/or the boardwalk.
“This area is still an active construction site and is considered hazardous to the public at this time,” said Cocoa police officials.
“Please do not remove construction barriers, signs or fencing. It is meant to protect the construction site and the public. Officers will be increasing patrols in this area during peak times.”
Cocoa police officials stressed that repeat violators could face trespassing charges which can be enhanced due to the site being an active construction area.
“We appreciate your cooperation and we look forward to the day we can welcome you with unrestricted access,” said Cocoa police officials.
