WATCH: Three Titusville Fire Department Firefighters Tests Positive for COVID-19

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA (WESH) – Three Titusville first responders are battling the coronavirus.

Greg Sutton, spokesperson with the Titusville Fire Department said they do not know how the firefighters contracted the virus.

They are making sure everyone stays healthy, taking steps like wearing masks at all times. They put on personal protective equipment for suspected or confirmed COVID-19 calls.

“If we had an entire crew from a station that may have affected an oncoming crew, or such as that and had more interaction with more of our personnel. It’s a bit of a snowball effect. It could hamper us in a pretty quickly time frame,” Sutton said.
