The National Weather Service in Melbourne forecast for Brevard County on Friday calls for a chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 8 a.m. Some of the storms could be severe. High near 87.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA –The National Weather Service in Melbourne forecast for Brevard County on Friday calls for a chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 8 a.m.

Some of the storms could be severe as temperatures are forecast to be high near 87.

The forecast also calls for a windy day, with a southwest wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Friday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light south southwest in the evening. The chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. West southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. The chance of precipitation is 70%.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 pm, then a slight chance of showers between 11 pm and 3 am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. West wind 5 to 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday: A slight chance of thunderstorms, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. West wind 5 to 10 mph. The chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 81. North wind around 5 mph.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59. North northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming east northeast around 5 mph in the morning.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
