MAY 3, 2020 FLORIDA DEPT. OF HEALTH REPORT

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County has reported 308 cases of COVID-19 as of Sunday night, according to the Florida Department of Health.

According to the Florida Department of Health, the demographic breakdown of the age of those testing positive ranges from 1 to 94, with the median age being 53 years of age, and 49 percent are male and 51 percent are female.

The current Brevard list includes 299 Florida residents and nine non-residents.

Brevard COVID-19 cases requiring hospitalization is 48. Eight deaths have been reported as a result of COVID-19 in Brevard County, including five since April 12.

The Florida Department of Health reports 9,281 tests have been administered in Brevard County. According to Sunday’s report, 8,970 of those tests have come back negative.

The percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 8.4-percent.

The Florida Department of Health has reported a total of 36,078 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state with 6,035 hospitalized.

Sunday’s report also shows 429,970 people in Florida have been tested for COVID-19,

Deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Florida are 1,379 as of Sunday night.

In the U.S., 1,157,945 confirmed cases have been reported and 67,680 deaths have been attributed to COVID-19. Global cases reported are 3,506,729 with 247,431 global deaths.
