Chief Mike Cantaloupe Swears in Dr. Ken Favero, Cierra Johnson as Cocoa’s Newest Officers

Dr. Ken Favero is a retired Melbourne Police Officer where he served for 16 years

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Cocoa Police Department Chief Mike Cantaloupe administered the Police Officer’s Oath to two new officers on Monday.

Cierra Johnson is originally from Bartow, Florida, and most recently resided in Polk County before coming to the City of Cocoa.

In 2018 she earned her law enforcement certification for the Criminal Justice Academy at South Florida State College in Avon Park. She served as a police officer for the City of Melbourne and a deputy sheriff in Hardee County.

Dr. Ken Favero is a retired Melbourne police officer where he served for 16 years. He is also a retired U.S. Navy Medical Service Corps Officer.

Dr. Favero earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry, is board certified in public health, and a former medical lab director.

He will serve the agency as a reserve officer.
