City of Cocoa Facilities to Re-open to Public May 19 with Social Distancing Guidelines in Place

City Clerk’s office and 2nd and 3rd floors of City Hall will remain by appointment only

On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, all City of Cocoa facilities will open on a limited basis to the general public in accordance with Governor DeSantis’ Phased Plan to Re-open Florida. However, residents and customers are encouraged to continue to utilize our virtual services including online bill pay and e-mailing or calling City staff for information or for an appointment.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, all City of Cocoa facilities will open on a limited basis to the general public in accordance with Governor DeSantis’ Phased Plan to Re-open Florida.

However, residents and customers are encouraged to continue to utilize our virtual services including online bill pay and e-mailing or calling City staff for information or for an appointment.

Information on how to utilize virtual services for each department is listed below.

Access to Cocoa City Hall will be through the south entrance only where there will be handwashing and sanitization stations. There will be limited capacity permitted in the lobby area per social distancing guidelines.

The City Clerk’s office and both the 2nd and 3rd floors of City Hall will remain by appointment only.

All other City of Cocoa facilities will have lobby access only. All other areas of facilities will remain by appointment only.

Protective measures have been put in to place to protect both the public and staff. Plexi-glass partitions have been installed as well as markers for six feet of distance in the Utility Customer Service line with a limit on capacity.

Staff has been equipped with personal protective equipment as well. Increased cleaning and sanitization of City facilities will continue.

City employees are being monitored for any signs of COVID related symptoms including having their temperature checked upon arrival.

We recommend that the public also take measures to protect themselves by adhering to the Centers for Disease Control social distancing guidelines.

If you are experiencing any symptoms of the COVID-19 virus or have any underlying conditions that make you more vulnerable to the virus, please do not come to a City facility and continue to utilize the City’s virtual services.
