BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Those who dedicate their lives to healthcare answer a sacred call. They are willing to sacrifice for the betterment of a stranger, to serve others over themselves and to be a beacon of light in the darkness of despair.
When COVID-19 attacked our community, these selfless heroes did not hesitate. They were there every day, sometimes at personal risk, and continued to answer the call for help from every corner.
They are why Health First took immediate action to ensure its associates are being cared for and their health remains top priority, along with patients’, as the public health crisis continues to flatten.
“As we continue to work to ensure our associates are safely providing care for our Brevard residents, we have been offering voluntary COVID-19 tests to associates and providers in strategic areas at no cost to them,” said Dr. Jeffrey Stalnaker, Chief Physician Executive with Health First.
Of the Health First associates who have chosen to be tested, no associates have received a positive test result for COVID-19.
“We’re honored to serve the Brevard community and we want to ensure our associates are healthy when providing care to our neighbors and loved ones,” Dr. Stalnaker said.
Testing for associates was an opportunity to give those healthcare heroes peace of mind when working closely with patients.
“The results prove that the policies and procedures we have in place are effective,” Dr. Stalnaker said. “Our goal is to do our part in minimizing the spread of COVID-19 in a safe, reliable and trusted way.”
