Eastern Florida State Tennis Player Frederik Oervad Makes History By Becoming 3-Time All-American

Oervad won two of three singles matches before season was cancelled

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College men’s tennis player Frederik Oervad made program history on Friday becoming the first player to be a three-time All-American.

The sophomore from Vedbaeck, Denmark was named to the 2020 ITA NJCAA All-American Singles team. It is the second straight year he has made the singles team. Oervad was also named to the doubles team last season with former teammate Adriel Azucey.

Oervad, who won two of his three singles matches before the season was canceled due to COVID-19, is currently ranked sixth in the Oracle/ITA NJCAA Division I National Singles Rankings.
