Fiery Crash Kills 40-Year-Old Rockledge Man on I-95 Sunday Night

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash involving three vehicles Sunday night on I-95 near mile marker 192 in Viera.
State troopers say one of the drivers was a 40-year-old man from Rockledge.
According to the investigation, all three vehicles were traveling northbound on I-95 around 10 p.m. when one of the vehicles driven by the 40-year-old Rockledge man failed to slow down for a vehicle in front causing him to rear end the 29-year-old man from Port Orange.
The rear end collision caused the man from Port Orange to leave the roadway and overturning the vehicle.
A third vehicle, driven by a 19-year-old Cocoa woman, ended up crashing into the Rockledge man’s vehicle which ended in the vehicle to become engulfed in flames.
The result of the crash caused one the vehicles to catch fire.
The Rockledge man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two drivers were not injured in the crash
In accordance to a state policy by Florida Highway Patrol, the names of victims in crashes will not be released by the public. FHP cites the Constitution of the State of Florida for new change.
