BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Tech sophomore standout Cheyenne Nelson earned inclusion on the 2020 College Sports Information Directors of America 2020 Academic All-District team for the first time in her career.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

The Academic All-District honorees are now eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-America award, which will be announced in June.

The Aerospace Engineering major has been a force both in the classroom as she currently holds a 3.94 GPA. This success translates to the field as well as she been a major contributor since her first day at Florida Tech.

During her two seasons, she amassed 85 hits, 54 runs, 23 RBI, 15 doubles, six triples, one home run and 22 stolen bases.

These impressive stats have led to a .324 batting average, .405 on-base percentage and .444 slugging percentage and a .963 fielding percentage.
