Melbourne Police Criminal Investigations Unit Probes Shooting That Happened Tuesday On Walker Street

The Melbourne Police Criminal Investigations Unit is currently probing a shooting disturbance that occurred on Tuesday in the 500 Block of Walker Street. According to Melbourne Police Commander Health Sanders, the investigation revealed Jarvis Jorden, 32, of Palm Bay, battered Joshua Gowins, 35, and Gowins shot Jorden with a firearm.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Melbourne Police Criminal Investigations Unit is currently probing a shooting disturbance that occurred on Tuesday in the 500 Block of Walker Street.

According to Melbourne Police Commander Health Sanders, the investigation revealed Joshua Gowins, 35, battered Jarvis Jorden, 32, of Palm Bay. Jorden then shot Gowins with a firearm.

Both Jorden and Gowins were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

“At this time neither person has been arrested and no charges have been filed, but the investigation is ongoing,” said Commander Sanders.
