Severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Haulover Canal

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Tornado Warning for North Central Brevard County in east-central Florida until 2:15 p.m.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Tornado Warning for North Central Brevard County in east-central Florida until 2:15 p.m.

At 1:51 p.m. EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Haulover Canal, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD…Tornado.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. T

his dangerous storm will be near Klondike Beach around 2 p.m. EDT.
