Two People Rescued After Boat Fire Breaks Out on Barge Canal in Merritt Island

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Rescue crews from multiple agencies in Brevard County helped save two people caught on a boat fire in the Barge Canal on Merritt Island on Wednesday.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.

Personnel from the Coast Guard Station Port Canaveral, Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Brevard County Fire Rescue and Florida Fish and Wildlife were all on scene to help with the rescue.
