BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Newspaper media veteran Steve Erlanger has joined the Space Coast Daily team and will be serving as general manager for Space Coast Daily’s new countywide, direct mail newspaper which will hit Brevard County mailboxes on June 1.

Erlanger is no stranger to Brevard County or to the media business as he has spent the past 35 years launching quality community newspapers or reviving distressed newspapers around the country.

“We are delighted to have an experienced and accomplished newspaper executive like Steve join our staff,” said Space Coast Daily President and Publisher Tom Palermo.

Erlanger is one of the most prolific community newspaper executives in the country having started more than 45 community newspapers from coast-to-coast, including seven editions of the original Hometown News on the Space Coast.

He is a firm believer in providing local residents with quality local news – and is still a big believer in the print industry.

“When done right, mailing a newspaper, filled with interesting and pertinent information, will attract readers looking to take a break from their various digital screens,” said Erlanger.

“Brevard business owners are looking for a quality marketing vehicle to get their message out – something that will reach the demographics and the markets that they are looking to reach – and that is exactly what we are doing!”

“With the launch of Space Coast Daily’s direct-mail newspaper, Brevardians can count on us to deliver unbiased news and information that is important to them, with emphasis on public safety, health and wellness, education, government, entertainment and local sports – delivered in print and right into your mailbox,” said Space Coast Daily President and Publisher Tom Palermo.
