BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – More than 100 Brevard County families threw a parade for the residents and patients of Solaris Healthcare on Merritt Island Monday morning.
Patients at Solaris Healthcare haven’t seen their families in almost two months and have had little socialization due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Families decorated their vehicles for the parade, showing love and support while maintaining CDC social distancing requirements.
The cars loaded up in the church parking lot next door to the facility and families lined up to see their loved one that they have not seen in months.
The staff brought the patients out to the parking lot to see their families in the parade all the while practicing social distancing.
Nurses and other staff members received support and were thanked by all the families that have been working on the front lines during these times and taking care of their families at Solaris Healthcare.
