BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Parrish Healthcare has created a careful and methodical plan to continue to assure the health and safety of everyone during the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The COVID crisis continues to pose all the same risks to public health as it did at the onset of the pandemic. There is still no vaccine or cure for this highly contagious virus.

The rising rate of positive COVID-19 cases during the state’s phase 2 re-opening means that Parrish Healthcare will remain vigilant.

Protecting the health and safety of the lives entrusted to our care is more than a priority for us it is our duty as healthcare stewards.

Following is a status update of Parrish Healthcare programs and services:

■ Parrish Medical Center (Titusville), all hospital-based outpatient and elective procedures have resumed.

• Visitor restrictions remain in effect at this time.

• Advanced scheduling for procedures is required, including labs.

To contact lab or diagnostic scheduling, call 321-268-6150.

■ Parrish Healthcare Center (Port St. John), 5005 Port St. John Parkway, Cocoa, FL 32927, fully operational. Includes Parrish Medical Group, sleep center, diagnostics, rehab and urgent care. The conference center remains closed to the public at this time.

■ Parrish Healthcare Center (Titus Landing), Harrison St., Titusville, FL 32780, fully operational. Includes diagnostics, dialysis center, and Parrish Medical Group (resuming normal operation as of June 17, 2020).

Parrish Healthcare Center (Port Canaveral) and The Children’s Center (Titusville) remain closed at this time. When officials announce Phase 3 of the Governors’ reopening plan for the state, the feasibility of re-opening the centers will be re-evaluated.
Parrish Health & Fitness Center (Titusville) remains closed until further notice.

A plan to assure member safety was drafted, evaluated, and determined not feasible at this time. As an extension of our health system, many members of the Center have pre-existing health conditions that place them in high risk and vulnerable category.

Gyms and fitness establishments are by their nature high-risk environments for spreading contagious illnesses. The risks for potential exposure to a member outweighed the benefit of reopening.

All members are receiving refunds. When officials announce Phase 3 of the Governors’ reopening plan for the state, the feasibility of re-opening the fitness center will be re-evaluated.
