BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Prep girls basketball coach EJ Murray has resigned on Wednesday after he made the public announcement over social media.

“Today, I am officially stepping down as the head coach at Florida Prep,” said Murray.

“I am so grateful to FL Prep for allowing me to build their girls basketball program into one of the States Top Programs. It took a lot of hard work. Jewell Borden and I set lofty goals and were able to reach them in a very short period of time. Thanks coach B for having my back these last 3 years. Its been a great ride! I am grateful to have had the opportunity to coach with you. I know that The Florida Prep program will continue to thrive moving forward!”

Murray leaves Florida Prep with an overall record of 63-27 and two state championships (Class 2A) in his three seasons with the Lady Falcons.

Florida Prep finished the 2020 season as the No. 5 overall ranked team in the state of Florida.
