Gov. DeSantis Unveils Plans for Phase 2 Reopening in Florida; Includes Bars, Nightclubs, and Movie Theatres

Phase 2 goes into effect on Friday, June 5

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Gov. Ron DeSantis announced on Wednesday at Universal Orlando Resort that Phase 2 of reopening Florida will begin on Friday, June 5.

Businesses that qualify for Phase two are as followed: bars, movie theatres, massage therapy studios, nightclubs, pubs, sporting venues and tattoo shops.

As a side note, bars and pubs may operate with 50-percent capacity indoors and full capacity outside as long as appropriate social distancing is followed.

In addition, restaurants can allow bar-top seating while practicing social distancing.

Retailers are allowed to operate at full capacity.

Arcades, auditoriums, bowling alleys, concert venues, movie theaters and playhouses, may operate at 50-percent with social distancing measures in place.

Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties will remain in phase one until further notice, but may seek approval to the state which could be on a case-by-case basis.
