Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach Will Host Youth Summer Camps Beginning June 29

All Camps to Follow Safe Play Guidelines

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – USTA Florida is pleased to announce the Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach will host youth summer camps beginning Monday, June 29, 2020.

The camps will closely follow the Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach’s safe play guidelines to ensure the safety of all camp participants.

“Participant safety is paramount at USTA Florida junior summer tennis camps,” said Frank Swope, USTA Florida Director of Tennis Management.

“We have redesigned our camps and classes to limit group size and incorporate social distancing, added no touch ball pick-up protocols, and restructured break time and cleaning regimens. We are entirely focused on our players being able to safely enjoy their experience.”

The summer camps will run for six weeks and will be available for children ages 8 and above. Camp participants will learn the fundamentals of tennis in a fun environment, supervised by USPTA Certified Professionals.

Junior Tennis Summer Break Camp
Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Single-day price: $35.00 | Full week price: $99.00 (no credits/refunds will be issued for missed classes.)

■ 8:45 a.m. – 9 a.m. – Check-in (due to safety precautions, daily drop off will be no earlier than 8:45am)
■ 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. – Warm-up
■ 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. – Tennis Instruction/Drills
■ 10:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. – Break
■ 10:45 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Tennis Games
■ 11:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. – Mandatory pickup (late pickup fees will apply)

The Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach has also added three summer afternoon classes for red, orange, and yellow ball players that will begin on June 29. Players will focus on movement, balance, stroke development, game concepts, and an introduction to scoring.

Monday through Friday 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Single-day price: $12.00 | Full week price: $40.00

Summer Afternoon Orange Ball
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Single-day price: $12.00 | Both weekly sessions: $20.00

Summer Afternoon Yellow Ball
Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Single-day price: $24.00 | Both weekly sessions: $40.00

Parents and participants are asked to review the Racquet Club of Cocoa Beach’s safe play guidelines for preparation, during play, and after play safety.

These protocols have been carefully developed to ensure compliance with state and local public health requirements.
