BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Tiger’s considerable talent pool just got deeper with the addition of rising senior linebacker Nelson Tawah, who will join coach Ryan Schneider’s Tiger football juggernaut after moving to Brevard from New Hampshire.
Tawah, originally from Lachine, Quebec, played his first two years of high school football in Canada, then moved to the U.S. and played last season for St. Paul’s High School in Concord, New Hampshire.
The 6-foot-2-inch, 230-pound Tawah will be a key addition to the Cocoa Tiger’s defense.
Last season Tawah had a total of 19 tackles, 2 for loss of yards in 8 games and is a versatile athlete that can also be used as a short-yardage running back.

Multiple Division I schools have shown interest in Tawah, including the University of New Hampshire, the University of Connecticut and the University of Nevada.
Tawah will be making his way to Florida soon and said he was hoping to start bonding with his teammates right away.
Last season, the Tigers were just one game away from making their fourth consecutive state championship appearance in a row but fell short, losing to the Bolles Bulldogs 20-14 in the state semifinals.
